The holiday's been one of the best so far.
The cash and fulfillment from holidayjob

It's been such a joy.

Grouping mess, Entirely assignments based
Need lots of proper planning to get them done in time, for that trip
But I guess, I'll look back and miss it, a few months down the road.

Clay has to be moulded, placed under different process, to become the beautiful pottery that it is intended to be.
Tough times shows me that I am privileged to go further, and stronger for Him.

Hadn't been updating much.
The busyness.
I have lost touch on quite abit.
Pretty hectic life, honestly.

But I am going to be out of this routine pretty soon.

Few more days to go.
Saying goodbye to the kids goanna be hard.

I have to start working on it.

Saying hello to another centre, I hope I'll be able to adapt.

This attachment, been one that God had brought me through.

Catching my breath admist the planning and materials making.
It's amazing how I always tried to make that feeling go away, and it just won't.
But when I got to know much more, it just went away.
Patience.
& Trust I guess.

Few more hours to my baby sis' one month celebration.
Two more days to the submission of my assignment.
& I hadn't really gotten down to it.
It's a rush against time.
I know I will pull through though.
Because I have a big God with a capital B.
Ha.

I am still excited for the plans for this week.

And it's the start of a new week, exciting one!

Been thinking really hard for ideas of teaching etc.
Planning, Age appropriate, According to child's ability, Revolving the theme of transportation, Newsletters, Weekly tasks, Two learning corners with 5 activities each.
Lots to do.
But glad that I am still coping.
:] Amist the stress, I still have the reassurance that God will bring me through.
He comes down right to the details of my life, where only my inner self would know.
Amazing.

It's been a great weekend.
Got to hang out with a different group of peeps & I enjoyed it much.
Interesting to be knowing more about peeps.
"Value adding" to friendship, something I learnt.

Was fortunate to have the youth day holiday, though it wasn't much of a fruitful day.
5 weeks plus left to the completion of my last attachment in ECH.
It's goanna be hectic.
I want to enjoy being with the children.
I need a change in perspective.
Not just as a student teacher who's there because she needs to be.

One week break passed by.
Two exciting events went pass too.
1. Church camp at Seremban

2. The birth of Charissa, my 2nd sister

Alyssa waves to the birth of my younger sister.
LOL.

It went by in a flash.
This week is packed with project work & make up attachment.
:( Honestly, I am dreading the start of attachment again, especially with the assignments rush.
The next 6 weeks of attachment going to be really hectic.
I don't want to go with the "get it over and done with" attitude.
And the "just do your best and live each day as it is" seems not enough.
I need a goal to focus on.
:] I am praying for one.

Picked up quite some stuff from church camp and conversation with a friend
Time to be refreshed.
To have a renewed passion in my life, be it in studies, brigade, cell group or personal life.

I was going to... then I left.

That friendship propelled me to go into another level of intimacy with God.
The dependence directed to God instead.
The sharing of heart, in the form of a prayer.
Prehaps it was inevitable that our friendship ain't that close anymore.
Thank you for the so many things I learnt from you.

I truly understood that only God will never fail.
Not approaching this truth with negative feeling.
But its that it's so assuring to know that He is definitely there.

Stranger?

What differentiate friends with family?
What differentiate close friends with sisters?
I am not talking about the literal sense of family/sisters. (Blood)
How can it be that we are united or "family" with peeps we love, and those that we don't love, they are then not part of the "family".
Is love just a feeling?
Ain't it supposed to be a choice?

Are we any different from anyone else, when we love those who love us, and dislike those who dislike us.

Diversity in a family,appreciate it.

Recently I discussed w a friend about friendship.
She mentioned that she once asked for a definition of a BFF.
I wonder: Will there ever be a BFF?
Or in another sense; how come it be possible to have one?
I used to really feel that friendships are v troublesome.
And I would rather be alone.
BUT now,
I believe and hope in friends.
Not blindly though.
But with the knowledge that it is definite that "man will fail".
In this way, I know that hurts and disappointments and whatsoever definitely will come.
But I am glad that the positive will always outweight the negative.
(At least I choose to believe in the positive!)
& I am v v glad to have a group of friends that support me.

Feeling rather relieved, Phew.
Got to know of my posting for attachment today
A christian private childcare centre at Bukit Timah. :]
V v soon, it will be 9am to 5pm.

Weekends are especially precious right now; since school started.
Sat is always the fav day, right from morning all the way to night!

When the shops closes, and there's no security patrolling around.

It feels so so good to have him back!
To share and talk about stuff like we used to be.

A look at my thought life for the day
I thought about my plans for the week, about TPM tmr,about how to comfort/advice a friend, thought about a special friend, thought about my disciples, thought about my love birds at home.
I too thought about what God spoke to me the night before,about a joke my mum sent me, thought about finances.
Lastly, silly incidents that made me smile.

Whatever revolved around my thought life were the circumstances that happened to me, the priorities that I have, what I looked at.

I have began to love reading books.
Truths, supported with bible verses, that I have picked out, started to replace the false belief system that I used to live by.
HAHAHA, how true is it when peeps say that the greatest battle is in between your ears, which is the mind.
I need to stop looking at my own limitations, and at who I think I am.
What matters really is who I am in Christ!
My identity, my potential is not gauged by what I think.
That's cool.

Anyway, though school started, I am glad that I still have things to look forward to, that motivates me in a sense.

10 Random thoughts.
1.Thinking/reflecting too much ain't really good actually. (Especially when it doesn't lead to any actions taken)
2.I am rather confused right now.
3.I am learning to smile and laugh more.
4.I feel blessed by the people around me.
5.School is starting in a week time; It's rather exciting in a way. (Holiday was rather fruitful, I think I "grew up" through a lot of things I learnt.)
6.I realised I do still care quite alot about what people says.
7.It is okay to be emotional, just don't allow your emotions to determine your actions.
8.I feel sad about missing TPM, but I know the meeting at HQ is important.
9.Drink deeply of God's love, then you will be able to give.
10.I am looking v forward to church camp in June.

Termed as a "sensitive plant", the leaves responds to any form of touch/heat etc, by closing up.
Did a little research out of curiosity.
"Hitting the leaf hard with the flick of a finger will cause the leaf to close in the blink of an eye whereas a gentle touch or modest heat source applied to leaflets at the tip of a leaf will result in a slower response and the propagation of the stimulus along the leaf can be observed."

Don't we close up when we get hurt?
During a conversation with Giana a few weeks ago, I realised that I have built a self protective wall.
To protect myself from getting hurt.
And in doing so, I prevented God from healing me from the hurts I grew up with.
In the rooms of my heart, where "I locked the door and threw away the key".

Reading the book Captivating allowed me to realised a lot of things that I have been living with.
When often, girls are termed as too much of "sensitivity" "emotions", too little of "femininity".
We don't realise that sometimes we are relational to the core, because we are created to reflect God. God is relational to the core.
However, most of us, we are not living as what we are created for.
We don't reflect God's beauty and glory as the way we should.
That's why pursuing to becoming more like God is an exciting journey.
I enjoy walking with Him and walking with the people He placed in my life.

I am so glad that I realised my heart "problem".
HAHAHA, a hardened heart.
I want to be vulnerable to others. I want to give genuinely without holding back.

I totally agree with this.
"To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. I am so thankful for the people around me that God placed for me to love, and also those who love me!

It is indeed how amazing this friendship has progressed.
I do treasure it alot.
And I definitely love her alot. Like alot. HAHAHA.
It is awesome to have someone who loves you the way you are.
She never fails to cheer me up when I am down.
I enjoy the times we share insights from books we read, when we share our encounters with God, when we share our struggles, when we share our hurts, when we see each other growing in the Lord.
Even the times when we quarrel, or get irritated with each other.
It's always assuring to know that after that, we can be honest to correct each other!
She blesses me in the way I lack. The many times you say you wanted to treat, though I refuse, I feel God's love flowing through you.
And for me, that's sufficient.

I found this rather adorable.
So "Did you smile today?"
I did.
And I really want to do so everyday, I want joy to fill and overflow in me!

It hadn't been a fruitful week; If anyone would to ask me.
Pretty much,watched drama and spent time catching up.

Camp over the weekend had been great though.
I have never felt this way with the girls before.
The connectedness and the genuine desire to want to know each & every one of them better.
It has never been this intense before.
& I am so glad that I felt it this time round.
Truth experience was a good lesson learnt.
A word "Respect", would have made a big difference in the way things turned out.

A significant mention would be a chat I had.
It was much of a faciliation of my thinking.
I wonder "do we attempt to understand people at all?".
There must be a root problem behind everything.
And I have always been trying to understand/find out through my own methods.
I "deal" with her, thinking that "I just need to be more firm, and it will work"
It isn't working.
I realised I have been just practicing trouble shooting.
Towards her, I have not put in my best.
I have not taken down my lens, to look at her the way God looks at her.

Don't I realise that God loves everyone equally?
We need to be thinking people.
Not with our own wisdom, but with our heart.
A heart that's connected to God.

When it's so easy to lose sight of what's important with all the distractions,
I want to set my piorities right.

These were the three main points that were echoing so loudly in my mind.
The exact things that I need to be working on.
Have you ever credited yourself the glory that's meant for God instead?
I did.
When we pat ourself on our back, saying what a job well done.
Did we remember to praise and thank God, the very creator of the created things which means we ourself?
And don't we often fall into the trap of feeling more superior or righteous than someone else?
When we actually don't have any righteousness to talk about.
The "I" in me have grown big over time.
Thank God that He always speaks at the right time.

& Yes, for the very thing that I did not want to do so much, I obeyed.
& I am so glad that I did.

The rest of the days were rather fruitful as well.
On a random note, on wed, I realised that Bus 700 cater to the suntec bus stop only during peak hours. And to think I waited there foolishly during office hours for 1 hour plus. -.-"

My lovely class!

It's over.
It's weird that when I was studying for exams, I got distracted by the so many things that I wanted to do at that moment.
And now, when I have the time, I just want to slack and do nothing.
Alright, just for now.

Both papers have been rather manageable!
Which I truly believed that God added on better memory, really.
At some questions, I could simply recall what I glanced through in my notes.
Not that I am confident that I will do really well, it's just that God is always faithful and He sees our need!
That amazes me.
For those who are still chiong-ing for exams, PRESS ON!

There's lots I want to do this holiday!
Find a good job (EARN LOTS OF MONEY!), read more books, watch more drama, pick up better knitting/ art&craft / photography skills, learn basic cooking skills and lots more!
I want to enjoy my interests without the constraint of time and knowing that there's lot of work due. (Maybe this is possible for a short period of time!)

The very day we were so excited for fish spa.

Adventure weekend.

The camp site is located at a nature reserve.

My weekend was well spent with the boys/girls.
Though the programs etc weren't that good, but I believe that there definitely would have been bonding happening. I got to know the officers/helpers much better. :]

Phew, another week already.
Having my papers on friday and the following monday.
and then wooohooooo. :]
Got to help out at my dad's stall again.
My mum gave me a choice of helping out for two days (not having to wash dishes) or one day (have to wash dishes).
I chose the one day deal. LOL
I want to find another job beside working at the stall!

Gotta start working hard already.
I am bad at memorizing!
Oh well, I will do my best and God will do the rest!

想太多

I have really been thinking alot these few days.
And I am glad that these two days have been an awesome time praying, worshipping and just sorting out my thoughts.

God revealed to me the reason of why I have been feeling so heavy at heart recently.
A balancing scale.
I have not been balancing the different areas of my life.
And I started to realise that I have not been as committed as I used to be.
However, God is good.
He brought me back.
Set my eyes on my priorities again!

There's this indescribable joy when I know I am connected and taking steps to knowing God more and more!
I am really excited to go through the Masterlife series!
I know there's more!

The week was good.

There was a thought that kept ranging in my mind; "It doesn't come naturally"
Indeed, sometimes I jump to the conclusion of accusing another person of not doing his/her best. The things that come naturally to you and you can excel in it, it may not mean the same for another person.

This attitude towards people actually boils down to our real motive towards them.
When people challenges us or come into conflict with us, what do we really look out for?
To prevent our pride from getting hurt or do we look beyond the form and see the real fear /hurt etc that is in that person?
& Yes, I have lots to improve on.
Putting others before self, really ain't easy.

Sat was good too.

I was in for a wake up call on sat.
Relationships that I have never thought would be restored or as a matter of fact, to be brought back to the correct direction. Looking back, God bought me through.
& now, it's down to my family.
To be honest, it is actually quite difficult for me to have a natural conversation with my parents.
There's this awkwardness and .....
LOL
God restored this hope in me, the hope that my family will go be able to tide through the difficult times, and the hope to seeing the vision that I am holding on to,come true.

Happy CNY to Everyone.
I just finished the last attachment session for Year 2.
Shouts "HURRAY!"

My mentor in the centre spoke to me today.
"As a teacher, we touch the lives of the children we teach"
She commented that I was one of the more committed student cher.
I am committed because I want to fulfill my calling as a student.
But yet, my passion is not entirely being a teacher teaching in a childcare environment.
& yes, I have to admit that I have not been putting in my best in giving the children the best.
She asked me; are you going to pursue a degree because of future career advancement or because you want to be the very best teacher that you can ever be?
& I answered her honestly.

Commitment
It really requires alot.
I can't get over the barrier of the hygiene aspect when working with children.
I am not sure if I really want to commit my time/weekends to planning lessons, preparing materials for the children.
I am not sure if I can be giving the best to the children.

But I am quite sure I do want to work in the Art&Craft aspect.
My mentor said that she will be supportive of me if I choose to specialise in an aspect e.g. teaching the children Art&Craft.
I am looking for direction, God.

5 more to go & 2 exam papers, and I can say goodbye to Year 2.
I can't help but still exclaim that God has been so faithful.
Since I started walking with Him in this sem, things have gotten so much better.
Same workload, same conflicts that might happen
But with God, things are just different.
For the joy of the Lord is my strength!

I find life so much more beautiful when I choose to face it with a positive attitude.

E learning week pass-ing in a flash.

It was so rare to have a time to just kneel in front of the Altar, dwelling in His presence and doing & praying all that I want.

It was a great time of gathering. The activities was normal, but the company made the difference! Lots & Lots of pretty photos were taken!

My new year eve was meaningful.

Though no longer the same closeness as before, but I believe, it marks a new start!

We visited the place we used to play when we were in our primary school years!
Doreen used to loiter around with her friends, while I used to go fishing with my brother!
LOL. I remember the days where my bro & I would dig for earthworms (and pull them apart) as baits. We would use fishing strings with a hook attached, and just fish at the reservoir!

2008 was a great year, 2009 will be a great year too.
I am so glad that life is not a bed of roses.
Tough times do make me want to cry under my blanket and to run to God's embrace.
But after everything else, I come out stronger.
There might be so many times where material wants overwhelm my thoughts.

I still came to realise that my greatest blessing are the people that are around me to support me.
I cannot guarantee that I will no longer cry, hide under my blanket, complain or fall,
what I know is that I have the greatest backing ever, because I am My Heavenly Daddy's girl.

"People comes from different walks of life".
Indeed, it is so.
I wonder maybe I hadn't really truly understood that, until now.

It was a time to relax & seriously just slack.
Was quite cool.

It was AWESOME.

When I focus on the problems that are right before me, I can never see a way why I can smile.

End of Elearning week!
Had a taste of having time to control in my hands! LOL.
As in was really glad to be able to make it for the tue and fri training, which my normal school days would never be able to accomodate into the timing!

From this week onwards, it's goanna be a hectic time for poly students!
Assignments (Lots & lots & lots) and Common test(I don't have!)

I was feeling stressed up etc,when I reread what Ps Paul preached last sat.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.

In this time of busy period, I think there will be tendency to be unhappy (I think working in group work is something that's challenging! LOL!) /stressed etc, but I want to hold on to this verse, and all the more in this period, to draw nearer to God, to let the fire in me burn stronger.

These few weeks hadn't been smooth sailing.
In addition, I have been sick for two weeks, but am recovering fast! :]
Looking on the positive side, I am really glad that relationship ties with friends and classmates are improving.
I am looking forward to completing all the assignments (not last minute work again hopefully) and to all the events that are coming!

I just completed planning for my lesson plan for wed!
My lecturer is coming down to grade me.
Rather nervous actually.

I was at the last stage when the nurse said that my veins were too small, and I can't donate.
I was really disappointed; dont know why either.

Thinking back, my life in the past is so different from now. In the past, I would only hang out with my own clinque,stay in my comfort zone. And there's really so much joy just hanging around with people. I feel so loved and blessed whenever I think of the people that I have in my life.

Thank God It's Friday! Finally. :]
The week spent in school was fruitful too.
I managed to revise almost everything that have been taught.

And my groupings for the various projects turned out rather good.
:] Really thank those who really cared and put in effort to plan out the grouping.
Thank God for nice classmates. They didn't leave us to fend on our own, instead they looked to our interest' too!
Actually rather excited to work with different combinations of peeps.
Conflicts maybe. But it's definately a experience! :]

But meanwhile, for all except one projects, I'll be with Shamini! YAY.

WOO.

3 days of school life passed.
And I enjoyed it.
I entered a new sem with God.
This is not going to be another sem when I say I will work hard, and didn't.
I am going to walk closely with God.

I feel accomplished.
I am going to type out any notes that are handwritten during lecture.
And I came out with an assignment timetable.
To prevent any last minute chionging.
I know its not all these that helps, its a change of attitude that helps.
I believe God will help me through!
TO CELIA; YES! You can have the discipline to read Straits Time everyday too!

I am looking forward to satudays! Anticipating it to come.
To add on to the excitement; VON STAYING OVER at my place. It's goanna be really fun! :]

LOL. I found a secret to be focused in class etc.

1. A 2 Hour Lecture or 1 Hour tutorial will still take up the same amount of time whether you decide to pay attention or not. So why waste the time? And then have to spend more time re-capping and figuring out whatever was thought.

2.Have something to look forward at the end of the day! I have something to look forward to everyday! Be in Tue PM, Gym, Leaders Meeting or GB. :]

Anyway, Tue PM was interesting.

It was praying for the Missions; when I was praying I felt so a sense of urgency to reach out, to be praying even more! My prayer life have improved! Something that I have always been desiring for the previous and this year! :]
Had gb meeting too, really excited for the plans for next year!

Today, went to gym with Celia.
Really enjoyed the time speaking to her.
She's one of those that I can speak v honest thoughts to.

I dislike running :( I dont mind running in a sport, but I dislike aimless running. LOL.
I like the cycling machine! :] Cover more kilometres too.
In order to be healthy, I still want to go gym. LOL.
I <3 swimming, but people around me don't. Any swimmers?

Mon + Tue
Spent monday with a group of peeps and some p6s. New experience of bonding with them. Excited for the things that's coming.

Tue was spent helping out at my dad's stall. And I saw so many helium balloon! Awww,so pretty!
The children + teachers were in all kinds of costumes. Like cinderella, santa clause, cow girls etc.

Prayer meeting was really good as usual.
The chat with you was good in a sense that things were clarified. I managed to say everything that I felt. In a process of forgiving and healing. I hope it goes the same for you as well.
Though things may not be the same as the past, but I believe it can one day be better than how it used to be.

Just came back from Brigade Officers Retreat.
It was an awesome weekend spent; including time spent in church.
It was a time that we redirected our goals, our focus.
When we set goals and plans for the future.
When we evaluate the purpose of coming into Brigade and serve, and come out with a common purpose.
The session of confession&reconcilation and the session of edifying one another was really useful.
Esp the Praise&Worship session, I felt different.
Worshipping together; It was just like worshipping as a body of Christ.

Service on sat was really different. God's presence was so strong, so tangible.
It was just like church camp and tue prayer meeting.
The very thing that makes me commited to go for prayer meeting.
The encounter with God.
Prayer really work wonders.

A BREAKTHROUGH.
(Pal; I am so glad that you got one too. And the constant gifts of sunflower choc, it really made my day.)

My baby lovebirds are approaching a month old!
(This is the 2nd batch)
First batch are wild birds, because they were hand-fed only after a month!
Thus, already hard to tame :(

Background: Love Birds are the smallest species of parrot! And in contrary to myth, lovebirds don't have to be in pairs.

Its thursday already!
Study break; but still as busy.

I slacked the whole monday away, be acc-ing my dad to watch two movies. Which actually is a total waste of time. ):

1st: 5 friends in search for a missing friend in a jungle that's inhabited by two huge snakes. And all the snakes do, is to just swallow human and spit them out of its mouth. Throughout the whole movie, the missing friend was not in the picture at all. Most of the peeps who tried to find and rescue the 5 friends died. Only 2 friends were left in the end.

2nd: Some kind of mysterious forest which attracts people who wants to commit sucide to go there to do so. And it just goes on.

Wed: Bus-ed home with GINA & DOREEN. I jio-ed them to Bugis to walk. In the end, my project work ended so late that I was only in time to bus home with them. Was fun :] Squeezing in the bus is different when you aren't alone! LOL

Lots of projects down, but yet still lots of projects not completed!
BUSY BUSY BUSY!

improved in time management after learning to value time!
But punctuality, still got lots to work on!
Finally one last music & movement lesson to conduct tmr!
Completed 3 art&craft lesson, 1 maths lesson and 2 music&movement lesson.
Will be graded according to cher's assessment of the lesson, our lesson plans and evaluation of the lesson!
:( It is tough being a cher!

One tough part is classroom management.
We got to be sensitive to the children's needs. And at this age,children are still very self-centered, if they refuse to do something, they are really stubborn!
Rmb-ered last week lesson, 2 children refused to dance and move along! :(

But overall, I am really glad that it's going to be over (for now).
Really looking forward to the holidays!

Entering into Poly actually helped me to manage stress better. Overnight chiong-ing of assignments; I couldn't take it, still went to sleep. LOL. but my classmates, they were able to do so! Meeting project deadlines, working in a group!

Rmb-ered the times that I would be counting down to gb, to cell group,discipleship etc.
But somehow the things that really gets me excited is tue prayer meeting, sun bible study, and cell group. For the rest, the excitement etc seems to die down. I want to believe that everything I go has something in store for me, something for me to do, something for me to please God.

Learnt the value of time; it was a timely message that SZQ shared during discipleship at Buddy last Sunday.

Realised I been slacking too much; watching televsion for too long, surfing the net aimlessly instead of starting on my work.

If I valued time, I wouldn't be always late.
If I valued time, important things would be prioritsed, instead of saying "I am too busy for that"
Especially,in the area of discipleship, I feel so guilty about it.

:] Well, Now I know, and I am going to change!
Planning once again, the 6 things that I wanna do everyday.
I like to plan :]

Discipleship with Faith&Lovell yesterday was fruitful. :]
Re-directed our focus back to what we want to do.
Realised we lacked in prayer; so so much!
And if you both are reading; just want to say that: "I really LOVE both of you!"
It was sweet that we ended conference call by saying that we loved one another.

Had project work at Fwah's house before that, and her house is beautiful :]
Two storeys; really organised and neat environment.
Own garden; with birds occasionally landing on the lawn
Her bed is those kind of slightly raised bed frame; kind of jap style; very cosy.

And her mum and siblings were really nice!

Its really hard lo ):

We are supposed to learn vowels and consonants symbols.

And for every symbol; we have to learn and rmb how it sounds like, so when the symbols are stringed together; they form a word.

Our task is to identify the symbols and read out as a word. Three columns.
1st column: Test 10 symbols; we have to voice out the symbols
2nd column: Symbols that are stringed together; to become a word. But the words tested are not real words, is just jumbled up symbols.
3rd column: Symbols that are stringed together;to become a word. But this time, the words make sense

:] At least cher announced that everyone passed the test!
The previous test, I was the only one in class to fail. I was terribly sad ): This is a module I really got to put in extra effort.

I was late today! Was super scared lar! ): At least I managed to still get tested, and being after the last person, I had more time to pratice!

It was nice to have Joyce and Shamini to be there to encourage; they kept assuring me and answered my queries!

Firstly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY FARIS! :]
You really been a blessing to our group! Don't give up alright!
Been working on building a community in the cell group;a place of love and trust.Really hope to be able to slowly work towards it. It's not about numbers but about quality. :]

Anyway, haven't been blogging for quite some time.
Been really busy! I think somehow due to poor time management too. ):
Anyway this week goanna be my e-learning week. However only tue don't have to go sch, school as usual on wed, early release on thur and fri! It's goanna be more tiring I guess, since almost all the modules are going to post hwk still. ):

Been rather upset the whole day actually. Been reading up on the earthquake in Sichuan Province. Affected me quite a bit, esp when I read about the stories of the people who were affected.
Family broken,Friends lost,Became orphans,Lost their limbs,Missing people
people going to hell.

Went to the service on revelations by ps song yester. He expressed really deep concern and feelings toward this issue. He teared. Just in a week or two, two major diaster happened. The cyclone and the earthquake.

I can't only just feel sad about it;I got to do something.
Make my life worthwhile, guard my worship;let it be to God alone.

Anyway, yesterday was a fun day out! :]
Today,rested at home;abit too much rest (slacking). Got to start my revision and my homework. Will try to update more. :]

Today's been a bad day but still I will praise God!
Really thank God that I was able to meet GEORGINA and DOREEN, they made my day!
Lots of Joy and Laughter! Went over to SP (Gina's school) to meet them, was actually quite fun looking around,spotting the difference between SP and NP. Journey over to the very far pizza hut was made shorter by my chattering and their -.-" comments to me. LOL. In the end, we had to eat KFC ):

Week 4 of sch already! It's like super duper fast!
Went to my new childcare centre. Really different from my first one. Previously was a private centre, currently is a govt centre. Facilities etc really differs. The children seems really friendly though. Taking the K1. :D Really got to interact with them, bcoz two weeks later, got to start implementing lessons to teach the children! Really scary to think about it! Will be assessed, and need to draft out 7 (3 ART,3 Music& Movement, 1 Maths) lesson plans, implement and reflect! Goanna be tedious!

Anyway,been learning about Grace recently, last last week BRX's sermon and last week "second chance movie!"

Grace = Giving to others even though they don't deserve it.
Be it patience (patience comes with understanding others), kindess, love
God did that to me.
I want to do that to others too.

Declaring publicly to the questions Pastor Daniel asked, to declare that Jesus is Lord,Jesus died for our sins and rose from the death after 3 days! :D
When I came out from the water after being immersed, I felt light! as in physically and mentally light!

During the baptism of the Holy Spirit after the water baptism, God showed me a picture of the past, something of the past that I have been set free, but still felt guilty at times. He told me that I have been totally set free, a new person now! Through this baptism, God showed me love. I felt so touched when sis zq,edward and lopez (my core group) came over and pray for me. At that point of time, love just overwhelmed me, it was really indescribable! And the gifts,smses,blessings that people gave! :D

Anyway something to touch on,
today morning I had oppression, I couldn't move any part of my body, and couldn't speak. And at that point of time, I heard a voice saying "your brother is coming home with me". Meanwhile I prayed and commanded the devil to leave in Jesus name! After a while, I was alright! This isn't the first time I encountered oppression, but it was the first time that I heard voices. BUT THE DEVIL DIDN'T SUCCEED! I am baptised and not afraid! :D And I goanna try harder to bring my brother back to church! :D

I AM SO SO SO SO HAPPY! :D I AM SET FREED! JESUS IS AWESOME! :D

I thought about it. I don't want to be a childcare teacher.
To be honest, too little pay, job scope = Educator,Care giver(taking care of daily needs),having to deal with parents and collegues

Came to realise that my interest still lies in art&craft,design aspect. So if I ever continue in this line, it would be in the art aspect, like using art to deal with children. Otherwise, taking this ECH course would help me in parenthood in the future. :D good deal right? :D LOL!

Actually really excited for the start of this sem! I got to have discipline to revise and study hard! :D I want to become more active in the photography club! (CCA!)

I still miss Chengdu
I really thank God for giving me all the good friends around me! :D Its awesome! :D

Xiang Shu: First time going on a trip led by you! Its really awesome that this trip had a balance between work and play! You brought lots of laughter and fun to the team! Thank you for being sensitive to the Holy Spirit and challenging our motives and goals. And thank you for being sensitive to our needs too! :D Thumbs up leader! :D

Jeffery: My mortal. Got to know you more during this trip! Its really awesome that you responded to your call and took the step of faith to serve 1 year in Chengdu! It impresses me that you are always dependant on the Spirit, be in meeting new friends, or topics to speak with them! Your lameness with edward and chow chin brought lots of laughter too! :D

Lopez: Guitarist for P&W. Thank you for taking the effort to train with me and giana when its our turn to lead P&W. And rmb-ered one day when I was feeling upset, when I asked you to play the chinese song,I really felt God's comfort and presence when we were singing! Its really cool to see you get to know so many peeps in China! Continue to use your gift of being able to open up to peeps to build relationship! :D

Wei Hao: A brother who takes cares of the girls too. Thank you for always being gentlemen enough to help me and giana carry things. Through this trip, really changed my impression of you. Its really awesome that through the friend you knew,Ou Yang,we got to know so many other friends! And I can really see your genuine care towards Ou Yang! Keep it up! :D

Liang Zhi: A really encouraging brother. Would always see you encouraging the people around you, for their sharing, and praising them for the things they did! Its really a culture that we need to build on! A brother that is really good in sports, and through that, built friendship with the people over in Chengdu! :D

Chow Chin: My angel. Thanks for all the notes and gifts you given me as my angel. You been one encouraging angel! The stuff you wrote really amuses me. LOL. Through this trip, really seen that you have grown a lot more mature than you used to be! Its really great that you learn to grab opportunities during rest time after playing basketball, to build relationship with the peeps in Chengdu! Continue to recognize and grab opportunities in Spore! :D

Cheong Seng: My da ti group mate. Though didn't really get a chance to work with you, but some of the stuff you shared during debrief really encouraged me alot! Through the way you share, I can see the passion you have for God and in reaching the people of Chengdu for Him! Keep it up! :D

Ken Lim: A encouraging brother too. The encouragement notes you written to me really encouraged me alot! Really cool that you could take your injured eye in stride! That you didn't complain about the pain etc, that it didn't affect you during ministry! :D Can really see that you loves your family alot! :D

This team was really an awesome team to be with! One that is united and cares by encouraging or being sensitive to the needs of one another! :D Though not perfect, but really thank God for each and everyone of them! :D Praise God for bringing us through this MT! And causing us to bond and even build deeper friendships! :D

Hey peeps,here's my testimony!

I went with a team of 12 people including myself to Chengdu for 8 days. It was an awesome trip! The experiences I encountered were really different from the Thailand trips which I went for the past 3 years!Firstly, really want to thank God for the accommodation; Brother Joshua’s house was really good, well-furnished, comfortable environment! He was really generous to lend it to us! Secondly, thank God for the team! This team was really united and fun to be with! The culture we built was one that encouraged each other, one that was really fun! And the guys really took care of us girls!

Through this trip, God really taught me a lot! Basically what we had to do was to go into the universities, Dian Zhi Ke Ji and Hua Xi respectively. Our identity there were as students on exchange program, that we wanted to get to know more about the school and the culture over in Cheng Du. We prayer walk around the campus and tried to make friends by getting them to take us around the school or by inviting them to lunch/dinner after getting to know them. At first it was hard, as we were unfamiliar with the school, and we were actually scared to approach! But prayer walk really soften the ground! The boys started to know people through playing basketball! And one girl that I approached was actually the girlfriend of the guy that the boys were trying to get to know! We started building relationships by talking to them, sharing about Singapore, asking more about them.

Edward, Wee Huat and me was in one team. We got to know this guy called Yang Jian, after which through him, we got to know Da Ming and Chen Wei! Yang Jian and Da Ming were quite open! They brought us around, and on a Sunday evangelistic gathering, we got to talk to them about religion! BRX sharing about purpose of life and our testimonies actually made them see the need for God in their society. They recognized the trend of increasing suicide and they mentioned that some of their friends around them actually have psychological needs/problems. They said that Buddhism is not a solution to what they need. They felt that Christianity can provide emotional support. It was awesome! We gave them the Chinese version of four spiritual laws and a bible each to read. Though they didn’t accept Christ, but at least we planted seeds in them! This trip is mainly relationship based sharing. It is like an application of our daily life in another country! This trip helped me to open up a lot, to talk to strangers, to start conversations! The people over there were generally really friendly! They were sincere in the way they treated us, and we should be too! There was this girl that accepted Christ after I shared to her in the park! She’s a student who’s learning French and English. Her teacher told her and the rest of the class to read the bible to improve their English. Thus, she had read the bible before and also some books which talks about Christianity. She was very open! However due to not able to get her contact number, we lost contact. I got to be more careful the next time, to get the full details!

Throughout the trip, God dealt with me from inside out. There was only two girls, me and Georgiana in the team. Thus, we were rather sensitive with one another. We sensed that Satan would use the relationship between us to distract the team. And indeed, sometimes I struggled. I struggled with thoughts like everyone doted on her and not me or that she’s so outspoken, why I can’t be too. I recognized that it is from Satan, thus we sat down and talked. We talked about the different ways we handles things or people, we talked about our perspective of dealing with people. God made me realized that people handles things differently, it is unrealistic to expect people to respond in the way you do etc. God taught me to be patient, to not be self-centered. When we start to look people through God’s lens, we start on focus on others’ needs instead on ours! Another encounter was at Holy Love Special School. It really took a lot of love and patience to deal with the children there. It was tiring to push the wheelchair around, and while pushing, I constantly had to adjust the boy’s legs for him. But God reminded me of love, and every time I adjusted his legs for him, I prayed for him！And there was this girl who took my hand and scratched really hard on it, till it hurt badly. I was irritated, but again reminded of love and patience!

Another aspect God dealt with was with my weakness of infatuation. I easily feel attracted to guys. I got a breakthrough when we were climbing the mountains on a day where we were unexpectedly given time to rest and appreciate God’s creation! It was awesome that God planned it, that day happened to be Sabbath! I always felt nature to be relaxing and it always seems to overwhelm me that God created things so beautiful! God redirected my focus to Him on that day. He took away the feelings I had for any guy! The desire of focusing on Him alone grew stronger! It was awesome! His presence was so strong! After which, in the later part of the mission trip, I was tested. It made me realized that I have to be careful of the way I behave towards guys, the signals that I might have wrongly sent. Even though my intention might be pure, but it might have stumbled others who do not know. I learnt to really depend on God. It is impossible and tiring to be always checking on your motives. It is hard to love with patience. It is hard to draw a line in friendship with the opposite sex. But relying and communicating with God throughout your day, throughout your life makes it possible!

God worked powerfully through this trip! Despite not being prepared properly, God planned out everything for us! God provided us with the people to reach out to! Now Da Ming and Yang Jian is getting more interested in knowing about God! Da Ming read the four spiritual laws and thought about some questions! About love, about prayer, about reaching out to people about the gospel! Can really see God working in him! It is awesome! Praise the Lord for whatever He done!

LOL, he brought mango and a hp keychain each for me and celia bcoz we helped him with two poster! :D

I wrote him a card to encourage him! LOL :D He made a balloon snowman for me! LOL so sweet lar! I think he was touched by the card! Hopefully God will renew his heart once again! He mentioned that there's no cell group for his church after they pass 35! That's so sad lar! =/

God once prompted me about being lively in my work environment. Not just sit there and knit or read or do my own stuff! I am so glad that I am starting to open up! :D
I dont know if I should just work at subway and quit this current job once I start school. But I will miss the peeps there, xiao li and William that always disturb me at the next push cart, the salesgirl at ogawa that comes and talk to me when I am bored. The laughter and the fun! And the free trials in the massage chair! And the staff discount at the push cart!

I am so not ready to change another environment!
I somehow start to love working :D

Been thinking a lot about genuine love these few days.

What is my friendships around me based on?

Do my friendships choose to put one another's interest above each other?

Do we genuinely care or do we brush one another off when its not our turn to talk?

All the more I feel disappointed, all the more God's love shines in my life. Don't you realise that God has always been the most faithful friend standing by? When I watched passion of christ yesterday during the good friday outreach, it hit hard at my heart.

Jesus was accused of NOT being someone who He claimed to be, and actually is, the Messiah.
Jesus suffered all the whips, the crown of thorns, the carrying of the cross, the humilation, bearing the name of an unrighteous man, a sinner (when He's not)

The love that He had and have for us when actually He could walk away, He did not.
He choose to die for us, He chose to bear our sins for us. How great is His love.

I feel so overwhelmed. genuine; learn from Jesus

How often have I said I want to love, but did not. Often when we look at the overwhelming things to do, the effort you have to put in, the discomfort you got to put yourself through, a wave of helplessness will wash you over. But God loved, that's why we could.

When I look to the people around me who stood by me, who scolded me when needed, who bear-ed with all the nonsense I gave, I saw Christ in them, I saw Jesus's love in them.

One testimony to share.
My parents have not been attending church/cell group regularly. Their cell group leader is called auntie pei zhen. In this lady, I saw Christ.

She would every week without fail contact my parents.
The whole cell group came over my house for cell group instead during my mum's maternity period.
The cell group prayed for my parents when they didn't go.
She came over my house for steamboat alone, and yet gave 4 ang baos in all, to me and my siblings.
She would go the extra mile to help my mum when she need help.
She would be ordering the minimum when my mum was treating her, but she would be ordering the maximum when she treating eg.crab.
She lent my parents her car when she went overseas.
She took the step of faith to gather my family to pray for us.
She reconciled me and my brother to my mum by getting us to tell our mum how much we love her in front of all the others.

I saw Christ in her, it is because of Christ's love that she's able to love. It's awesome!
My parents want to get baptized!

I got a job :D Praise God!

Enrolment nearing, a lot of things to be done. It's been really stressful and tiring these few days!
I admit I was desperate till the point I wanted to cry! =/ But God gave me the strength to pull through! It's really amazing when I stare at the pile of work to be done. And God is just so real beside me, pulling and guiding me through one thing after another. He sent peeps to be there to support me, He spoke through peeps [ Like God is speaking to me! ] It's really awesome! :D

And yea, it is hard to praise God through hard times, but I STILL PRAISE YOU,GOD!
and amazingly despite all the things to be done, I still managed to get a job! It wasn't delibrate, just walking around, then saw the hiring sign, then asked, went for interview the next day. And I went to work today! :D

RTC and the rest of the camps are nearing! This sat to mon! I pray that these camps would fulfill the objectives, and even in RTC, that I will be able to bond with the girls more! :D
5BX and devotion not planned yet! And enrolment stuff deadline this fri!

God,give me the strength to finish everything on time and to the best! I still feel kind of lousy, but yea, I trust in God!

do I love God or myself more?

I guess ultimately I still love myself more.
when I know the importance of prayer, when couldn't I have prayed more?
when I know the love of Jesus upon the cross, why am I still living a life that is so unworthy?
when I know I could have done more, why didn't I?

Lead me to the cross, rid me of myself, I BELONG TO YOU.
not to the self-centered theresa anymore.

I want to do more.
Daddy,help me, lead me.
